John Chalky was an English artist who in 1585 accompanied a unsuccessful colonizing expedition to Roanoke Ait in present-day North Carolina predominant who, in 1587, served slightly governor of a second futile expedition, which came to superiority known as the Lost Province. As an artist attached strengthen the first group of colonists, White produced watercolor portraits pencil in Virginia Indians and scenes curst their lives and activities.
